Group reasons before choosing actions
A useful worklist distinguishes missing information, coding queries, authorization questions and other payer responses. The reason determines whether a correction, document request or further review is appropriate.
Make the next action explicit
Give each item an owner, supporting-information requirement and review date. Track relevant deadlines in the approved billing system. Escalate questions requiring clinical or contract interpretation.
Look upstream
Review repeated issues with the people who control the original handover. Document the change, who agreed it and when the team will review whether it helped. Avoid treating every recurrence as an isolated claim task.
